Our story

The Little Black Gallery is a celebration of jewellery, design, art and objects, both New Zealand made and international.

We are a modern art space, fresh and innovative. You can visit us in Kerikeri, Bay of Islands. On site at Treghan Luxury Lodge, the gallery focuses on local and national artists and designers and offers original art, jewellery, prints, art blocks, ceramics and gifts.

Original art, art blocks, cards and prints include Crispin Korschen, Annie Hayward, Jody Hope Gibbons, Lynn Pirrie Smith, Liz McAuliffe, Julia Newland, Catherine Dunn, Wendy Galbraith, Jayne Maria Sprott and Susannah Laws among others.

Ceramics, glass and wood turning include Guy Du Toit, Chris Wickenden, Justin Cullina, Diana Galbraith, Angela Francis, Nicky Jolly, Megan Hindmarsh, Greg Barron, Jin Ling, Matthew Nesbitt, Jo Luping, Borrowed Earth and many more.

Jewellery includes designers and jewellers such as EmmaH, Omni Caeon, Dorthe Kristiensen, Nick Fient, TK Jewellery, Louise Spiers, Louisa Millett, Marlene Strode and Anna Hamilton.

The Little Black Gallery is a working studio where much of the EmmaH jewellery – both silver and handmade gemstone jewellery – is designed and made and where Anna Hamilton’s art studio is located.

We aim to provide a friendly, relaxed environment in which to make a wide variety of quality art accessible to all. Well-established and emerging artists contribute.
